DAY 01Delhi to the mountains
Begin in Delhi and board the overnight Volvo to Shimla. Confirm the meeting point and departure time with your planner before travelling.

After the overnight journey from Delhi, meet the mountain vehicle in Shimla. Travel through the Himalayan valleys towards Sangla and Chitkul. The itinerary allows approximately eight hours on the road.

Follow the mountain road as green valleys give way to the stark landscapes of Spiti. Reach Tabo after a long driving day of approximately nine hours.
STAY / TaboDAY 04Dhankar and the road to Kaza
Leave Tabo for Dhankar Monastery and its dramatic valley setting, then continue to Kaza.
STAY / KazaDAY 05Langza, Hikkim and Komic
Visit the Buddha at Langza, the village of Hikkim and Komic’s monastery surroundings before returning to Kaza. Stops depend on access and weather.
STAY / KazaDAY 06Key Monastery, Kibber and Chicham
Explore Key Monastery, Kibber and Chicham Bridge, then spend time around Kaza’s market.
STAY / KazaDAY 07Gue and the journey to Kalpa
Begin the return drive with a visit to Gue, then travel towards Kalpa. Plan for approximately nine hours of mountain travel.
STAY / KalpaDAY 08Kalpa to Shimla, onwards to Delhi
Return to Shimla and board the onward Volvo to Delhi. The overnight transfer reaches Delhi the following morning; confirm timings before arranging connecting travel.
